Camardo In 1948. During a trip to South America, Bartolomeo Camardo learns all about the production of quality coffee and only after having discovered its secrets he returns to Italy. In 1951. Bartolomeo Camardo founds the Camardo coffee-roasting factory conquering a rich market and becoming a leader in the production of quality coffee with the precious contribution of his sons Giuseppe and Felice. In 1970. The Camardo Company is a pioneer in coffee exportation abroad reaching markets in Australia, Canada and the United States. In 1996. Camardo launches a new product, coffee pods, and they quickly become one of the most important manufacturers of this market segment. In 2007. A delicate process of renovation of the corporate’s image begins by restyling the company’s trademark and packaging aimed more towards an international clientele. In 2008. A Camardo Coffee Shop opens in Seoul, South Korea, the first of many Camardo coffee outlets throughout the world. In 2011. Camardo celebrates its sixtieth anniversary by launching a new line of capsules, a patent system which ensures high quality espresso coffee at home as well as in the office. Camardo’s manufacturing plant is situated in Campobasso/Ripalimosani and spans across 15,000 square meters, 10,000 of which are covered. There are 8 production lines for packaging, allowing us to manufacture over 2,000 tons of coffee each year. 70% of the production is destined for the HO.RE.CA. sector, while the remaining 30% is ground and packed for retail or into pods and capsules.
